19th of May is a national holiday in Turkey. Due to mine accident in Soma, in which 292 miners died, Government cancelled the celebration of the national day. I could not understand the relation between two events. So I am interestedto know if any one knows the reason of the cancellation.

19th May is national day in Turkey. It is cancelled by the government due to the mine accident in Soma, Turkey. I see no reason that it should be cancelled since it's remeberance of founding of the Turkish Republic and dedicated to the Turkish Youth by the founder of Republic, M.K. Ataturk.
