#AreYouOK is a hashtag and status update to help people anywhere, around the world, who know people who suffer from depression, grief, or who are in distress to reach out for help and check in with each other to offer support and lighten the emotional burden we all go through occasionally. #AreYouOK is associated with #ImNotOK which was inspired by Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, the recent loss of a beloved mother, and several high profile suicides, and was jointly created by Melanie Hollands and Sandy Matthews, both of Boston, MA.
