The Health Literacy Leadership Institute Fellows Forum takes place on day five of the Health Literacy Leadership Institute (Friday, June 17, 2017) and is open to participants beyond those registered for the one week Institute. This one-day event invites past HLLI participants (and others) to join present HLLI Fellows in exploring a topic of interest to the field though facilitated engagement and open discussion. This year’s Fellows Forum looks at health literacy through a social justice framework. Applying a Social Justice Framework to Health Literacy Research and Practice is an experiential workshop that will challenge participants to break down oppressive systems to create health literate and inclusive healthcare environments.
