India is a country of 130 crore plus. So, clearly, there's a lot of sex involved. Yet, people are shy of being seen with a condom. It's as if they have committed a crime of some sort! Why? Why can't condoms be just another product like hair oil or cornflakes or mobile phones? Especially, considering it is a potentially life saving product, protecting people from diseases like AIDS? Let us not be shy anymore. Let us be proud of the fact that we are cautious people. Let us tell the world that we believe in being safe, not sorry. Even men are shy of being seen with condoms, forget women. But it's time we wake up and accept a normal, natural fact. Because we are not shy of doing the right thing. We don't hide. We are not sorry about it. And we definitely don't think it is an improper thing to have one one's person. Say it out loud. Say I Don't Shy Away.

This is a call to those who believe in being safe, sure and mature when it comes to sex, accepting condoms as a normal part of anyone's life who is sexually active. It is not something to hide or to shy away from because in India, a country of 130 crore people, clearly, there's a lot of sex happening everywhere. That's why it's even more important to have a condom on one's person because it means the person is responsible, not reckless. Especially men, considering they are the primary users. Let's make India a condom-friendly nation that has no hang-ups or reservations about a product that saves lives. Or about people who are seen with it.
