Dialogum is a politically, religiously and philosophically neutral social network specifically designed for citizens so that citizens have access to: 1. a safe, secure, collaborative environment where citizens can participate in thoughtful, respectful and constructive dialogues on the different societal issues that affect the societies in which they live. To facilitate the dialogue and help citizens identify best practices, Dialogum creates online environments where citizens have access to 1. timely, properly organize and tailor geographical information so that citizens can find the relevant societal information regarding already existing or new projects, laws, regulations or beliefs affecting their societies, be they local, provincial / state / departmental, national and even international. a. These environments are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and provide citizens with a central location where they can learn, and if they wish to discuss, about the potential impacts these existing or new projects, laws, regulations or beliefs have or can have on: i. them, ii. their fellow citizens, iii. their governments and iv. their collectivity. In the process they increase their personal, social and societal competences. 2. timely, properly organize and tailor scientific information so that citizens can find relevant societal scientific information on subjects that are associated with personal, social and societal development, be they biological, psychological, social, societal, etc. a. These environments are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and provide citizens with a central location where they can learn, and if they wish to discuss, about the various biological, psychological, social, societal elements that affect: i. Our individual development, ii. Our social development, iii. The functioning and development of our governments and iv. the functioning and development of our collectivities. In the process they increase their personal, social and societal competences. Using its Societal Dialogue Process to facilitate discussion and its Societal Knowledge Tree to manage knowledge, Dialogum helps citizens identify the various best practices that are compatible with the development of a balanced society, that is, one where most of its individual, group and collective actions, facilitate the: 1. development of its citizens, 2. functioning and development of its governments and 3. functioning and development of the collectivity While ensuring that they maintain or create an environment where citizens can: 1. develop the way they wish, 2. acquire the knowledge, skills and tools that will help them respect the liberty of their fellow citizens, thus contribute to the effective functioning of the collectivity Overall, Dialogum’s objective is to help citizens acquire new knowledge and new skills. These will help citizens increase their personal, social and societal competencies which will help them play their role as co-owner of their societies more efficiently and help reduce the overall social tensions, frictions and conflicts.
