Century for Global Health Literacy: International Health Literacy Association Date: October 7, Friday Time: 09h00-15h00 Venue: Institute of Global Health, University of Geneva, Switzerland Representatives from health literacy groups around the world will come together to address the question of how to support global health literacy and the forming of an International Health Literacy Association (IHLA). This meeting is designed to unite diverse fields of study, organizations, and interest groups in promoting local, regional, and global health literate communities, organizations and societies. The meeting will: 1. Explore opportunities for global collaboration to improve health literacy and prepare health professionals serving communities in need. 2. Announce efforts to date to establish an International Health Literacy Association to unite and support people and groups around the world working to improve health literacy.
