Nature NDCs (or nationally determined commitments) refers to the need for high-level support by governments to take urgent and meaningful action on biodiversity and ecosystems, similar to the level of commitment seen in Paris during the UNFCCC meeting in 2015. #NatureNDCs is a call for governments, businesses, non-profits and communities to rally around a common set of goals, to end and reverse the loss of biodiversity, in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, which depend in large part on healthy biodiversity and ecosystems.
