Semicircular Canal Dehiscence (Syndrome). Also SCDS. Erosion of the bone separating one of the semicircular canals of the inner ear from the cranial cavity leads to a "third window" into the inner ear. Symptoms are varied, but include hyperacousis, autophony (hearing body sounds), and dysequilibrium.
