Societalogy is a new science that
1 - studies societies as organizations. It evaluates how the natural, human, abstract and transformed societal resources ► facilitate◄ or ► impede◄ the:
1.1 - development of citizens,
1.2 - functioning and development of governments and
1.3 - functioning and development of the collectivity
2 - views citizens as co-owners of the societies they live in. Societalogy thus sees a citizen as a professional individual who must acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that will help him or her make decisions that are compatible with the development of a "good" society. These will also help him or her to act in a way that it supports these decisions. There are three types of competences that a citizen can possess:
2.1 - personal competences: They help us become better towards ourselves.
2.2 - social competences: They help us become better as we relate with others.
2.3 - societal competences: They help us become better as we work to facilitate the functioning and development of our governments and our collectivities.
