International Conference on Emergency Medicine (ICEM) of the www.ifem.cc
The IFEM (International Federation of Emergency Medicine) holds its International Conference on Emergency Medicine (ICEM) every two years, normally in May/June. From 2019, ICEM Conferences will be held annually. Only IFEM Full or Affiliate Member organisations are eligible to bid to host the ICEM.

The International Federation for Emergency Medicine is an international association composed of national emergency medicine organisations that are members of the IFEM as defined in its Bylaws. IFEM represents a co-ordinating consortium of these organisations.
IFEM Definition of Emergency Medicine
Emergency medicine is a field of practice based on the knowledge and skills required for the prevention, diagnosis and management of acute and urgent aspects of illness and injury affecting patients of all age groups with a full spectrum of episodic undifferentiated physical and behavioural disorders; it further encompasses an understanding of the development of prehospital and inhospital emergency medical systems and the skills necessary for this development.
