This two-day conference will honor the historic milestones that have forged a strong and prosperous Atlantic community and explore the most pressing challenges to the completion of a Europe whole and free. This vision, successfully implemented for two decades with a bipartisan and transatlantic strategy, has been called into question both within current NATO and EU members and by Russia's aggressive actions. Leaders and experts will gather at the Council's headquarters to debate the opportunities and challenges in Europe's east and south with the aim of exploring a renewed common transatlantic approach. European foreign and defense ministers, top US legislators, key enlargement architects, and other top strategists will address the audience on topics including the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, the transformation of Europe, the role of the United States in Europe, as well as the daunting challenges facing continued Euro-Atlantic integration.

Set in the quintessential city of Wroc?aw, one of Central Europe?s most dynamic cultural and entrepreneurial hubs, the Wroc?aw Global Forum (WGF) brings together key decision-makers and business leaders from the United States and Europe. Speakers and participants gather to discuss the region?s role as a critical partner in US efforts to strengthen ties across the Atlantic, and as an increasingly important player in determining Europe?s regional and global role. The Atlantic Council Freedom Awards recognize extraordinary individuals and organizations that defend and advance the cause of freedom around the world. These awards embody the Council?s mission to strengthen transatlantic leadership on global values. Each year the awards celebrate past triumphs of freedom, but also those who continue the struggle today. In 2013, the annual Freedom Awards Gala Dinner will take place on June 14.
