The Nottingham Board and Wargames. club is a tabletop gaming club based in or around the Centre of Nottingham. It was created by Matt Anderson and Gary Powell in order to encourage more gamers in the ‘Lead Belt’ to forgo the normal isolated style of gaming and be much more inclusive.
While many people happily game at a friends or colleagues home they decided that gaming was more than just moving pieces around the table it was about having fun, socialising and learning about other great games out there by gamers impassioned over the game's they play.

Targus was once a barren rock in the darkest depths of space. Alone and far from the rest of the cosmos, few stars could even shine the distance away. It was there, at the farthest reaches, the gods found their new home. Darren, Lord of the Cosmic Flame, created a star for the planet, and everyone knew it as Darren’s Fire. The rest of the gods, over a thousand many, poured their divinity into Targus and gave her life. The mountains let go of their roots and ascended to the sky. But all for a heavy price, for the gods had exhausted their immortality, and they only had a few millennia left to live. They spent the last of those years cultivating civilizations and engineering SkyShips hoping to ensure Targus' future. But the gods were not able to handle their mortality as well as we do.
Centuries after Malack's devastating war, peace and prosperity reigned. However, Targus once again must endure another war for survival. This time the battles are taking place in the heavens amongst the floating mountains. The people have inherited a world littered with ancient secrets, and they have discovered the power of the gods hidden inside the precious stone of the floating mountains.
Now with transcendence on the horizon, it is a mad dash for all the power hovering in Targus’ skies. Conquer the heavens with the SkyShips, ancient gifts from the gods. Swear your allegiance and claim your stake on Targus. Will you help the strange hybrids of the Cortez Family finally find a home for their nation the Commonwealth? Or will you defend your right to personal prosperity as a rebellious Sky Pirate? Each side has its own collection of heroes, villains, and extra ordinary ships that have caused ripples and rumors throughout the ports. War is never simple, and ideologies will clash as the people of Targus adjust to the dawning of a new age.
Sky Relics is a strategic miniature board game with role-playing and wargaming elements. Set in the massive world of Targus, the struggle between the Commonwealth nation and the Sky Pirates has escalated as they battle for control of the Iron Ring Skies. Command a SkyShip, fly from port to port, and gain favor of the locals for your faction. Will you call for new political institutions with the Sky Pirates? Or will you ensure justice and order with your birthing nation of the Commonwealth?

WELCOME TO WARMONGER!
Warmonger consists of Bryan, Diane and Marcus Ansell alongside sculptor extraordinaire Kevin Adams.
Our Mission is to go back to the original master moulds and bring over two hundred of Kevin's fantasy models from 15 years ago back into production.
Kevin and Bryan have been working on the Warmongerers for about a year now: we have about two hundred Warmongerers to get through too.
It's hard to predict how long this process is going to take, as we have a very large number of masters, master moulds and production moulds to get through and we are a small team. It would be nice to think that we will have done most of the work within 18 months. We will start out relatively slowly and accelerate as things progress.
Meanwhile Kevin will (of course) continue (to sculpt).
We are calling Kevin’s new range GREENSKINS . It includes many sorts of Goblinoids in all shapes and sizes, and a remarkable number of viridian representatives of the fair sex.
Kevin feels that he should just leave it to you which of his creations you choose to be your Orklings, Goblins, Orcs, Hobgobs, Trolls, Ogres, Faerie, Sidhe, Redcaps or Phooka (after all, one man's Ogre is another man's Orc). With the interchangeable heads and bodies of various sizes, you should be able to create pretty much anything you like.
Weapons: A good proportion of the Greenskins are wielding a weapon in both of their hands. If you would rather substitute a shield, you can just clip one of the weapons off. Kevin has made loads of shields: he will continue to make more!
The necks provided are of various lengths: it is easy to either clip them back or extend them with a small amount of Green Stuff or Milliput.
Heads: We have made more heads than bodies so far. We will send you an appropriate head for each of your Greenskins. Unfortunately, each head that we cast takes up nearly as much space on the perimeter of our mould as the Greenskin itself, so we won’t be sending out any extra ones for the time being. Multi headed Greenskins will come with the appropriate number of heads!
However, we are going to see if we can find an economic way of providing extra heads: so that you can fit them on other manufacturers bodies or set about doing bizarre conversions, or whatever.Greenskin Heads 2.png
Once we have got things rolling properly, we intend to give you a choice of a head from a selection of categories.
Some of our new Greenskins will be available for sale on this site in the next week or two. However, as long as you have access to a telephone you can give us a ring on 01636 526886 or email info@warmongerminiatures.com and use your credit card to buy the Orcs and Greenskins shown on this site and anything else we have cast up in the interim. Martin will most likely answer the phone. He is a mine of information as to what we have in stock.
While we were sculpting the first fifty Greenskins, we were putting photos of the sculpts up on our splendidly disorganized Warmonger Facebook site. You might like to take a peek:http://*** You might also like to watch our strange video. We will be delighted to receive comments and questions!
To keep in touch with what we are doing you can join our mailing list, follow us on Facebook and keep checking back here at Warmonger HQ!
COMING SOON
Brand new Orcs, Snorklings, Goblins, Ogres, Trolls and suchlike.
For the last year Kevin Adams and Bryan Ansell have been working on their Greenskins project. We will be casting the first fifty Viridian Warmongerers out into the multiverse fairly soon. Click here for pictures of some of our soon to be released models.

Good evening all, or indeed what ever time of day it is that you may be reading this. Not that time actually has any real relevance here but it is a polite way to begin this little missive.
Its seems that as Oldhammer has spread across the world and expanded on an unprecedented scale through social media the message is getting a bit lost.
But the message seems to be getting lost with the huge influx of new members.
Oldhammer is NOT a particular ruleset, nor a figure manufacturer or a blog post to be adhered to religiously.
In fact, the term 'Oldhammer' has been used by gamers before us. But here a problem does arise, and that problem is linked to the actual name of our community. 'Old' and 'Hammer' has an obvious link to older versions of Warhammer and it is here that the terminology can be difficult to new members to get their heads around. Some people I have met are amazed that there are even editions of the game from the 1980s, and can be fascinated by the miniatures I use being older than them. So when such a person sees or reads the term 'Oldhammer' it is no surprise that they perceive the group to be primarily concerned with playing old versions of the game.
This also helps to promote the belief that only Citadel miniatures designed in the 1980s are suitable for a game of Oldhammer. Again, this is not the case. In fact, back in the day I remember using all kinds of things as proxies (Zoids, He-Man, Star Wars vehicles... the list goes on and on) and not giving two hoots as long as we had a great time.
I feel that I may be part of the problem too. This blog has been incredibly successful and I am sure that you will forgive me in blowing my own trumpet here but Realm of Chaos 80s has become (or so I have been told) the number one old school site in the world detailing 1980s 'Bryan Ansell' Warhammer. I collect, paint and write about miniatures produced during that time and like to play Third Edition games with them. Just because I am the most well known and visual Oldhammerer doesn't mean that my interpretation is the 'correct' way to play Oldhammer.
In fact, there is no 'correct way' to play Oldhammer or indeed be an Oldhammerer. Its definition is up to YOU to decide. Its what makes you happy and feel satisfied in the games you play and the miniatures you paint and collect. Because of this I find it highly hypocritical that a minority of people who claim to be part of our community seem to be pushing 'their' interpretation of what our community is and what it should or should not allow.
Its seems that the community (and I am quoting another Oldhammerer here) is "now a divided camp. Those who are trying to enforce their vision of Oldhammer and those who are just having fun and getting on with it."
So if you are new to us and feel inspired by what you see here just go out and get on with the games you want to play and find like-minded souls to share them with.
