Twitter continues to build offices in different parts of the globe as its popularity grows in the remote regions.
Most recently, the social micro-blogging site was driven to establish a new office in Brazil, where there are already 40 million Twitter users.
The office will be set up in Sao Paulo, Brazil according to Guilherme Ribenboim (@guilhermerib), the new country manager. Ribemboim said that the office is intended to improve relations with the locals, as well as create new advertising opportunities.
Twitter has been very busy showcasing its advertising products in various parts of Europe and Asia.
Considering that Brazil has the second biggest Twitter market in the world just after the United States, it is only right that an office be set up to meet the demands of this huge market. It will also help solidify relations with current and potential users since Facebook has already set up an office months back.
Brazil is the sixth biggest economy in the world and the time is right for social media giants to enter and improve business opportunities here. There are also other big upcoming events that will add to the value of having an office in the area.
First, the 2014 World Cup is set to be held in the country. Second, the 2016 Olympics is also booked. The country?s popularity and internet penetration are expected to rise sharply as the next months happen.
Twitter has offices in various places around the globe to market its advertising products and services. Some of the locations include New Zealand, London, India, Dublin, Detroit and its headquarters in San Francisco.
