In yet another proof of the very short attention span of the regular social media user, a new infographic from M Booth?shows how photos trump text by a mile when it comes to crowd appreciation.
In a study conducted in collaboration with Seattle-based measurement and analytics firm Simply Measured?based on user activity on the top 10 brand pages on Facebook, M Booth found that videos are shared 12 times more than links and text posts combined, while photos are 'liked' twice more than simple text status updates.
What's especially astounding is the fact that while Facebook was able to reach a massive 100 million users in four years, Instagram, a largely photo-driven social networking site has just about the same number in a shorter period.
Here's the infographic that creatively displays how very visual we all are.
