The Hampstead Murders, a series of detective novels by Guy Fraser-Sampson written in the style and spirit of the Golden Age of detective fiction. The first, "Death in Profile" published April 2016. The second, "Miss Christie Regrets" published January 2017. The books have been described as 'a love letter to the detective novel'. They are very different to the standard modern fare, featuring a team of likeable police detectives working out of the iconic London village of Hampstead, whose lives and loves are seen developing from one book to the next. Quirky plot devices allow interaction with fiction writers and their detectives. The first has a Dorothy L Sayers (Lord Peter Wimsey) theme, and the second features Agatha Christie as a historical character in a cold case review. Published by Urbane Publications. Both publisher and author are members of the Crime Writers Association.
