A #decycling project of the inventor, Bertison Harlwood. Using soda bottle preforms, a toaster oven, an air compressor, and various handmade molds, Harlwood (often in congress with friends and beers) manufactures mutated soda bottles. This process often devolves as the night wears on, and preforms are inflated inside of household objects such as toasters and paint cans or overinflated to the point of explosion.

A practice started by inventor, Bertison Harlwood, that attempts to permanently remove objects from the recycling or waste stream by morphing them into cherished keepsakes and even heirlooms. He coined this term in 2014 while developing the manufacturing process for his #MutantSodaBottle project. Decycling is a form of upcycling with an aesthetic bent.
