#deafears is seeking to promote stronger reltionships between the police and the communities they serve.

Guardian Science has decided that we will no longer acknowledge the lunacy of protesters, civil rights leaders, politicians, and talking heads. They have managed to convince our nation that we have a ?race problem.? No, we don?t. Yes, there are a few ignorant people left in our profession, but ignorant people are everywhere. We do not like them anymore than the protesters and will gladly drum any bigot out of our ranks. The overwhelming majority of us just want to serve our communities and go home safe at the end of the day. We don?t even need a thank you. Just stop murdering us. To start healing as a nation we must drown out the negativity and start focusing on the positive. Therefore, we invite you to join us as we launch a new campaign, ##deafears. What is deafears? It is your chance to tell hate-mongers and irresponsible public figures that their inflammatory remarks about the police will fall on deaf ears. It is simple to join. Find a positive article about police, or write about your own positive experience, then post it to Twitter, Facebook, or any other social network and include #deafears in the post. Let?s show these few individuals that the silent majority will no longer be silent. Drown out their voice, bury their hate, and make a difference! #deafears with your positive experience!
