Mammogram results sent directly to a patient which convey a false sense of security regarding the existence of breast cancer. For example, this letter may state "We are please to inform you that the results of your mammogram are normal," despite the fact that the patient has dense breast tissue and that the mammogram is unreadable with any degree of certainty. This is also the title of a documentary on the subject of informed consent in breast cancer screening.
