An action thriller is a thriller novel that is primarily based on high intensity action sequences. Similar to a #militarythriller the action thriller is a high octane shoot 'em up type book. Typical writers for action thrillers would be considered to be Brad Taylor, Mark Greaney, J.T. Patten, Dalton Fury, Vince Flynn, etc.
