Celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the national Cooperative Extension service. Will culminate on May 8, 2014, the 100 year anniversary of when President Wilson signed the Smith-Lever Act forming the national Cooperative Extension Service.

Used to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of University of California Cooperative Extension throughout 2014 (www.ucanr.edu/100). This hashtag will culminate on May 8, 2014 when UCCE is hosting three huge statewide citizen science projects. (beascientist.ucanr.edu) For 100 years and counting, UCCE researchers and educators have worked together with local community members to develop and provide science-based information to solve economic, agricultural, natural resource, youth development and nutrition issues. Some of their programs include 4-H Youth Development, Master Gardeners, Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, and the Integrated Pest Management Program.
