Voters have the power of the pocketbook, and history shows that a corporation often yields to pressure from their customers when those customers boycott the business because of what they consider bad behavior. By hurting Starbucks earnings, it gives the message that patrons are not supporting the founder's political stance and hopefull effect a change.

if Howard Schultz runs for President of the United States in 2020, it runs the risk of handing the election to Trump, derailing the Democratic nominee. Voters can express their concern and dismay and encourage Schultz not to run by joining a nationwide boycott of Starbucks. Every citizen can make a difference in expressing their voice even before election day.

If Howard Schultz runs for President, he could split the vote and cause the current President to win a second term--unacceptable. There have been other elections where this has happened with a 3rd party candidate. Schultz is a life-long Democrat, and to switch to being an Independent makes no logical (or constructive) sense. Show your disdain through your pocketbook, and send him a clear message.

This outspoken, outrageous, ingenious, smart, witty, sharp-tongued, no-problem-speaking-truth-to-power CNN correspondent must be considered in this or the next Administration for White House Press Secretary. A White House Director of Communications role would also be great. Okay, Jeanne, we admire you, love you, and want our country to benefit on a regular basis from your deep understanding of the human condition and the other side of the moon. We implore you to become the public servant we want, we need, and we must have! (You can't see us, but we are on our knees begging.)
