Nothing frustrates me more than hearing an addict talk about needing to get well. Referring to injecting heroin to subside the feelings of sickness that come with the withdrawal process. Hey YOU. You with the needle in your arm. You DO need to get well, but not by injecting toxins into your bloodstream. Step out of this drug induced haze you're in and ask for help. Go to a meeting. Call a clean family member or friend. It's time to take back control over your life before life intervenes on you. Don't you want to feel whole again? Your body will heal, and in time so will your spirit. My words comes to you from a loving place. My beautiful daughter is a heroin addict. I too challenged her to take back the word well, asking that the next time she says she wants to get "well" that she should mean it in the most literal sense.
